Why advertised internet packages can overpromise
A striking price for home internet is usually marketing, while the contract does the reality-checking. The headline number is often an introductory rate that expires into a higher monthly rate, and fees for equipment, installation, or service often sit outside the headline. What you actually pay may not match the number that caught your eye.
Availability adds another layer. A national promotion can be genuine and still not apply at your exact address, since providers do not deliver every service type to every home. That does not make the ad fraudulent, but it does mean the ad and the contract are different documents — and the contract is the one that binds you.
